Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Free Online CPR Training Hard?

The short answer is: it depends. Everyone learns in a different way and has different aptitudes, so something that is easy for one person may be difficult for another person.

However, the goal of a free CPR training program is for you to learn the skills – no matter how much or how little time it takes. That’s why we allow you to watch the training videos as many times as you like.

Also, if you don’t pass the final exam, you’re able to revisit the training videos and retaike the test as many times as you like. There is absolutely no charge for failed test attempts.

How Long Does the Free CPR Certification Course Online Take?

In total, the full free CPR training program can be completed in about 3 hours. You can either complete the program all in one sitting, or work on it a little bit at a time and come back to resume the course whenever you like.

The free CPR certification program consists of 30 videos that are approximately 2 - 5 minutes each. Also, the exam at the end takes about 30 minutes.

Lastly, if you choose to purchase your CPR certification card at the end of the free training program, you can print your CPR card immediately without wait.

Are Free Online CPR Trainings Legit?

Good question! Even if you’re completing a free CPR certification program, it should still be legitimate and high-quality.

Free CPR classes and certification programs are absolutely legitimate. In fact, research has shown that the flexibility, accessibility, and adaptability of online learning makes online CPR training and certification programs more effective than traditional, in-class learning.

Over the years, research studies have shown that online, video-based CPR training is more effective than in-class learning. Because every individual learns differently and at a different pace, online CPR programs are an excellent option that are on par with classroom-based learning, but that also allow for each student to customize his or her learning experience.

What Is the Best Method to Learn CPR?

When deciding which CPR training method is best for you, consider what you need the training for and how you plan to use your CPR skills.

For example, if you are looking to learn CPR for your own personal use and knowledge – not for an employer or requirement – then a free CPR certification program is probably ideal for you!

If, however, your employer requires you to have a valid CPR certification card, then you will need a program that offers a CPR card with your completion of the program.

Also consider how you learn best, if you are often around adults only or also children and infants, and if you need to learn any advanced skills, such as in a BLS for healthcare providers program.
